“Of those, 86% were in the care of social services or foster care when they ran.”
That statistic has grown by more than 20% in the past 4 years, and isn’t looking to decline.
Also, in 2017 there were over 2400 cases of minors rescued in the United States from being trafficked.
Our Vision at Raising Warriors is to create a therapeutic long-term home for these victims that will provide the following:
- Long-term safe and secure housing on a multi-acred ranch.
- Regardless how young the child may be upon arrival, we would house them until they were legal adults.
- Christ centered spiritual formation.
- PTSD and grief counseling.
- Therapy through interactions with animals.
- Home Schooling
- Life training such as: financial management; self-care; culinary training; gardening; woodworking; etc.
Raising Warriors gives the family foundation that is missing in the foster care system. Each girl will have the opportunity, no matter the age she enters our care, to stay until at least 18 years of age. At 18 years old, each girl will have established a working exit strategy with goals to attain for future success. Exit strategies will guide girls for the future that fits them best. Whether it be job training, trade skills, or secondary education opportunities.
We will partner with Universities and Colleges to establish scholarships that will give the girls secondary education opportunities so that tuition costs and student loan debt will not hinder them from pursuing a college degree.
Raising Warriors Mission
Our mission is to provide therapeutic long-term homes for underage victims of sex trafficking where they can find the love, support, and the relief they need in order to succeed in this world.
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate
